NORLEVO® is most effective if taken as soon as possible after unprotected intercourse and no later than 72 hours (3 days) afterwards.
Each pack of NORLEVO® contains two tablets. Take both tablets with some water, as a single administration, as soon as possible, preferably within 12 hours of unprotected sexual intercourse and no later than 72 hours (3 days) after intercourse.
If you vomit within 3 hours of taking NORLEVO®, take an extra dose immediately.
NORLEVO® can be taken at any time during the menstrual cycle.
All further unprotected sexual intercourse must be avoided until the next menstrual period; until then only mechanical and/or chemical methods of contraception may be used. This means items such as condoms, spermicides, cervical caps or diaphragms.
NORLEVO® is secreted into breast milk and breastfeeding should not occur within 6 hours of taking NORLEVO®. If you are breastfeeding your baby, please consult your doctor, pharmacist or other healthcare professional for advice.
NORLEVO® should not be used if:
Available data indicates that levonorgestrel contained in NORLEVO® does not cause any harm to the foetus. NORLEVO® will not work if you're already pregnant, since it cannot dislodge an embryo which has already been implanted.
Any woman, from puberty to menopause can use NORLEVO® in order to prevent an unplanned pregnancy following unprotected sexual intercourse.
